Motion and Design
The Motion and Design unit has begun.
Our class uses K’Nex building materials to design and build vehicles for specific purposes.

During our unit, the class will discover properties of movement and energy.

After building cars for a specific purpose, students made technical drawings of their product. Afterward, they were charged with following a pre-made technical drawing to make a standard vehicle. This vehicle will be used in future lessons.

Using a counterweight system, weights were added to discover the difference in power. Various amounts of cargo were then explored as well.

Soon it was time for rubber band power.
