Motion and Design

The Motion and Design unit has begun.

Our class uses K’Nex building materials to design and build vehicles for specific purposes.

After building cars for a specific purpose, students made technical drawings of their product.  Afterward, they were charged with following a pre-made technical drawing to make a standard vehicle.  This vehicle will be used in future lessons.

Using a counterweight system, weights were added to discover the difference in power.  Various amounts of cargo were then explored as well.
